(or as determined by the board)

During pool season it will take all of us to make it a safe and healthy season!

It is important that everyone takes the time to familiarize yourself with the regulations set forth by the state of Florida, Gulf County and the Gulf Aire Property Owners Association.

THANK YOU for being a good neighbor, following the rules and keeping our neighborhood safe and maintained!

Part of the pool opening is reminding everyone of the rules! These common sense rules are meant for EVERY homeowner and guest that walks through the gate! YOU are responsible for the actions of your family and guests.

🚨 The state of Florida and Gulf County Health Department set the rules for our pool (which differ from backyard pools). If the rules aren't followed, they can 𝐒𝐇𝐔𝐓 𝐔𝐒 𝐃𝐎𝐖𝐍!!!

Please be respectful of the rules and other guests! Those caught violating the rules are subject to fines or having your amenity privileges suspended. 𝐑𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐩𝗼𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝗼𝐧 𝐩𝗼𝗼𝐥 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠! Please be aware that our amenities are under video surveillance.

𝐇𝗼𝗺𝐞𝗼𝐰𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 are to accompany 𝐀𝐋𝐋 guests 𝐚𝐧𝐝 children under 14.

Some of the biggest issues we had last year (and previous years):

𝐅𝗼𝗼𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝗼𝗼𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝗼𝗼𝐥 𝐰𝐞𝐭 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐤
(4 ft area around the pool) STATE LAW PROHIBITS THIS!
FL administrative code chapter 64 E-9.
Also, glass is prohibited in pool area.
🛑 Broken glass closed our pool for 3 days last season.

𝐍𝗼𝐭 𝐒𝐡𝗼𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝗼𝐫𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝗼𝗼𝐥
Body oils, beach sand and salt water cause havoc on the pool and filtration system. Did you know that bacteria from gulf water/sand that aren't removed by rinsing is a prime cause of black algae? It is very hard to remove and could cause the pool to need resurfacing. Also, no one likes to step in the pool and find piles of sand!
🛑 This caused our pool to be closed for additional costly treatment, cleanup and disinfection last season.
𝐓𝗼𝗼 𝗺𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐩𝐞𝗼𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝗼𝗼𝐥
If there are more than 19 people in the pool, get out, take turns etc. Too many people, not showering before entering and our Florida heat can effect water chemistry. Filtering systems are based on our gallons of water and bathing load.
𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧/𝐚𝐫𝗼𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝗼𝗼𝐥
You might think your pets need to swim but having animals of any kind in the pool area or pool is a violation of county and state law. If that happens, the pool will need to close down and have additional cleaning.
𝐔𝐬𝐞 𝗼𝐟 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐧 𝐎𝐢𝐥𝐬
Please refrain from using oil products if planning to swim! Oils float on top of the water, stick on pool walls and cause detriment to our equipment. Please apply sunscreens well before getting in the water. Do not spray products on yourself while in the pool.
𝐑𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐑𝗼𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲 & 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠
We know everyone likes to have fun, but Florida statutes strictly prohibits Diving. Running, horseplay and doing flips is dangerous around wet and concrete surfaces and is against the rules. Please use common sense.
𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐄𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐩𝗺𝐞𝐧𝐭
Safety equipment should not be used as play toys. It is required by law that equipment be in place in case of emergency! Please do not allow your family or guests to bother it.

The fence is another required safety feature required by the State to help prevent an accidental drowning! DO NOT PROP GATE OPEN!

A few other reminders:

👉 Non-potty trained kids should wear swim diapers and people with illness should not swim.

👉 Not everyone enjoys being splashed. Be mindful of others and be courteous!

👉 Protect and respect your keycards and neighbors. The pool can not be open to the public. DO NOT let others in he gate. Families should use their own keycards!

👉Make sure water gets turned off and is not left running!

👉 Parents, please supervise your kids! It only takes a second for an unwanted accident to happen!

Let's all work together to make it a great summer!
